This photo was taken in Galle, Sri Lanka, which I had the privilege of visiting earlier this year.
The city of Galle is very beautiful, full of old buildings and thriving with culture. In fact, they hold an international literary festival each year, which is growing in reputation.
One of the main attractions of the city is theĀ Galle Fort, a UNESCO World Heritage site, whose gates and ramparts, originally built in the 16th Century, still surround the city to this day.
But for me, it was the quaint little library – now 180 years old – which caught my eye, as did the sign hanging above the main doorway. What a wonderful sentiment.
